Welcome to the Official Hompage of the Cranston Citizens Police Academy
The Cranston Citizen Police Academy is a 13 week training course on the day
to day operations of the Cranston Police Department. During the 13 week program participants will have the
opportunity to use a firearm out on the range with a trained member of the Cranston Police Department, go on a ride
along with an on-duty officer, and much more. To know more about what we do check out our Events page or just
simply fill out and application and stop by a class on any Tuesday night. Classes are held at the Cranston Police Training
Facility located at 495 Phenix Avenue.
The Cranston Citizens Police Academy is run by the Community Policing Unit which
operates out of the Training Division.This unit is run by:

During the 13 weeks participants
have the opportuity to purchase polo shirts, sweatshirts, hats and jackets with the Academy logo on it. All money raised from
this goes to fun the Child I.D. Program.
